Boost Your Smoothies In A Big Way

There are lots of amazing superfoods you can add to your already healthy juices and smoothies. Here are some of my favourites for upping your immunity and energy levels.
Take your juice or smoothie up a notch with these four ingredients
Number One:
#1: Chlorella powder
Chlorella, or chlorophyll, is a green superfood that supports your immune system. It’s packed to the brim with vitamins and minerals.
Juice addition: Once you’ve juiced your ingredients, stir in the powder and drink up.
Smoothie addition: Add a teaspoon or two to your morning green smoothie with all the ingredients and blend.
#2: Maca powderSmoothies
Maca is a superfood that many people think is a miracle worker (I’m one of those people). Also known as Peruvian ginseng, it contains lots of vitamins like B, C and E. It’s also loaded with minerals like calcium, iron, magnesium and zinc.
Maca has been said to improve hormonal health and women’s moods and energy levels. I’ve seen maca sold in pill form, but I love the powder as part of my smoothie – it’s especially great in nut butter or cacao smoothies. Yum!

#3: Spirulina
This green powdered superfood is filled with loads of necessary vitamins and minerals. It’s also super-high in chlorophyll.

#4: Wheatgrass
Similar to chlorella, wheatgrass is packed with vitamins and minerals. It’s a fantastic way to add all of your daily green vegetables to your diet.
